Hello everyone!
I hope you are enjoying the fall weather out there, here in Maryland it is windy with a bit of a chil. I'm inside enjoying some Lifetime movies and making things for the kiddos. Next week is a two day week for the kids, Wednesday is conference day, Thursday is PD allllll day, and Friday is a day off! Needless to say we are going to spend this two day week doing some fun activities inspired all of you out there.
One thing I have finished is my Digraph detectives pages. It's nothing too fancy but I think it will do the trick. For anyone out there that uses Wilson Fundations for phonics this will go well with Unit 3 all about what else.....digraphs: ck, ch wh, th, sh are the focus for the upcoming weeks. Once I do an intro and some word making together we will get to be detectives. I've uploaded my digraph detective pages here. I'm printing the stars out on colored paper to save on colored ink :) Basically I will tape the stars all over the room and this kiddos will search for them and write them in on the recording sheet (also attached). Enjoy! I'll take pictures of my detectives when we do this activity.
Enjoy the Fall weather! Hopefully my upload works! :)

Phew! Some Randomness For You
Phew! I'll tell you it feels like we have been in school for-ever! My kiddos have so much energy I can't get over it! They are all so stinkin cute. But boy oh boy have we been busy. I have been neglecting my new blog for so long now. So its in desperate need of a catch up. So bear with me as I am probably going to be all over the place :)
My kiddos: 9 girls, 8 boys: extremely cute kids and very polite but a few still give me a run for my money :)
I have been totally obsessed with everything Pinterest related/inspired. In the very beginning of the year we did the "A My Name is Alice" activity that I saw all over Pinterest. It came from Mrs. Jumps class. She has such cute ideas :) I'll try and post the pictures tomorrow, my camera is sitting on my desk back at school..oops
I have also been so inspired by everyone's posts on the Daily 5 so I have decided to give it a try. Tomorrow will be our first day using it during our reading block, hopefully all will go well.
We made homemade applesauce for Johnny Appleseed day and the kids looooved it! again sorry no pictures! I can see my camera in mind sitting right on my desk so "i wouldn't forget it" before I left, obviously no luck there.
Oh my good ness I almost forgot one of my favorite things! Each year I read the story "Letters From Felix" by, Annette Langen. Adooorable book and goes great with a little geography. My students each get to have a sleepover with Felix for a WHOLE weekend! They then write us a letter about what they did with Felix and include a picture too! The kids L.O.V.E. it I mean really love it, they can't wait until their name is picked out of the jar to take him home. Oh and the things they do with him, you can't even imagine. Again I'll get those pictures posted soon :) One day I'll remember everything that's supposed to come home with me.
Ok sorry for babbling I'll bring that camera home tomorrow for some of those cutie pie pictures.
Thanks for stopping by:)
